Options to return to Australia

Commercial aviation options have expanded recently and there are several connections available between key European cities and Australia, operated by the following airlines;

Book with Qatar

Book with Etihad

Book with Emirates

Air Malta

Following the suspension of flights, Air Malta provides limited services to selected destinations. For Australians wishing to depart Malta, please see updated information from Air Malta on their ‘lifeline flights’.

Air Malta will only allow you to board if you meet immigration rules for entry to the particular country. For example, if traveling to London,  check if you need a UK visa. Please also note, that if you plan to transit through the UK on your way back to Australia, you may need to provide proof that you have an onward flight booked and proof of accommodation bookings for any short term stays.

**From 8 June there are new rules for those entering the UK. Travellers will need to share their contact details, travel information, and self-isolate for 14 days on arrival. More information > https://gov.uk/uk-border-control** .

These flights are for a limited time only - we strongly recommend making your choice now about whether to leave Malta or stay. Please visit the AirMalta Website for further details and contact the airline directly with any queries.
