How to apply
For passport applications for Australians visiting or residing in Tunisia, please contact the Australian High Commission on +356 2133 8201 or by emailing [email protected] for assistance with lodging your application. Applications lodged in other locations can risk further delays and a re-direction may not be possible.
Passports are currently subject to a minimum 6 weeks processing plus delivery time to Tunisia so planning well ahead is important.
Passports will be sent to the Canadian Embassy in Tunis, and must be collected in person from their offices.
Australian passport fees
Passport applications lodged in Malta are to be paid in Australian Dollars.
All passport applications lodged outside of Australia are subject to an overseas surcharge which is additional to the passport fee.

Payment instructions shall be relayed once the passport application is lodged at the Australian High Commission in Malta.
Lost and stolen passports
Should your passport be lost or stolen, please report the loss or theft of your passport as soon as possible by contacting us. Depending on your circumstances you can also apply for an emergency or a new full validity passport.
Important:
- You will need to obtain a police report from any police station in Tunisia.
- Both parents will need to provide consent prior to the issue of an emergency passport to a child.
- It is the responsibility of the holder to ensure the emergency travel document is suitable for entry, transit and exit for any ongoing travel including visa requirements.
